The Coffee Faery

You know what's awful? Uh.... getting up early.

You know what's double awful? When it's cold.

You know what's infinity awful? That's not even a thing. WRONG! No coffee is the correct answer.

In winter time I tend to shrivel up into an empty shell of a human being. The grey skies, the brown trees (all the trees are brown... bah bah bah.... and the sky is grey-ey), and the chilling cold all make me want to curl up in a blanket with a cup of hot coffee and read my copy Sherlock Holmes Vol. II until the sun comes back out and it's safe to light the grill again.

I met a guy this week from Florida near where I used to live and we were able to share our hatred of the snow and cold together. But, you live in Georgia... literally just one state above Florida... what would you do if you lived in the North, where it actually does get cold? I'd move.

There are 3 of us who get to the church building on Sunday morning before anyone else; in the (seemingly) early hours when the heat is off, the coffee isn't made, and the bones are frozen. Luckily, we have a Coffee Faery!

Shane Harper: Coffee Faery and Beard Extraordinaire
Each week Shane brings us hot coffee in the early hours when we're frozen so that our insides can thaw and our bodies can begin to move and instead of looking like the undead, we begin to look like human beings again!

Yay for the Coffee Faery!

Shane is sharing in the adventure of raising his own support so that he can be a big part of planting The Stone Church. He also works part time at Applebee's and is in his final semester of college at Georgia State University. His blog is over at http://www.partofthestone.blogspot.com.

Raising support is a difficult thing, and I am so thankful for the people who have shared in this adventure with us and have honored us with their money and kind words. If you are checking out this blog for the first time, or maybe have been reading on a feed-reader, I encourage you to check out the website. The Letter tab at the top will give you a run down of what our heart is and why we are asking for people to pray about supporting us financially. Please feel free to share this blog, The Letter, or contact us (through email or comments) to get more information about why and how to give support.
